THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Information and Technology is the strategic visionary leader guiding the organization toward technological excellence. You will be responsible for steering the optimization of enterprise applications and driving innovative solutions that align with the organization’s objectives. Leading major technology initiatives, security enhancements, network systems, ERP advancements, and transformative projects. You will also implement effective change management and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. As this is a key leadership position, it is imperative to keep ahead of the curve with industry standards of best practices to ensure the organization is aligned with current technological trends. You will provide strategic leadership on the use of IT across the organization so solutions can be harnessed for business optimization and success.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategic plan to sustain and enhance infrastructure, drive continuous improvement, and successfully execute key projects.
  • Assess current information technology processes to determine efficiency, usability, and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate solutions to support real-time data analysis, reporting and KPIs (key performance indicators).
  • Collaborate with the executive team to ensure appropriate systems and technologies are implemented that are aligned with strategic and operational goals.
  • Direct and advise the executive team on IT best practice including providing recommendations on software and hardware updates.
  • Lead, coach, and engage the information technology team to successfully support current and future business strategies while mitigating operational IT related risks.
  • Create objectives and goals for the IT department including collaborating with other departments to complete company-wide goals and objectives.
  • Adapt IT platforms to enhance the user experience.
  • Establish relationships with IT providers and businesses to improve the company’s information technology systems.
  • Monitor and manage network and computer systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Development and oversight of records and document management functions and processes to ensure compliance with policy and best practice.
  • Other duties as assigned based on business requirements.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Experienced senior IT leader (10+ years) who is comfortable working at both the strategic and operational level.
  • Degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, finance or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, guiding successful ERP implementation, and/or navigating digital business transformation.
  • Demonstrated high level of accountability, integrity, and ethics with steadfast resolve.
  • Experience with system integration and project management.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft office suite of products.
  • Ability to build and foster effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with the ability to work as a team, and take initiative to contribute to the company’s overall success.
  • Develop and maintain a network of IT professionals, participate in associations (where appropriate) to stay current with progressive IT systems, practices and trends.
