Our client, a leading industrial supplier in Newfoundland and Labrador, is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Customer Service Representative to join their dynamic team in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in sales, with  a broad knowledge of industrial supplies, specifications and features. The Customer Service Representative must develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers while maximizing industrial supplies sales opportunities.


Responsibilities:


• Build and maintain relationships for future growth opportunities
• Ability to provide customers accurate sales information on products and services
• Place orders accurately and regularly issue invoices to clients
• Maximize marketing sales effectively with the use of customer management tools
• Prepare sales order forms and quote prices when necessary
• Maintain awareness of competitor activity and complete other research when required
• Coordinate  with the planning and organization of account development, qualification preparation, and time management
• Ensure professionalism is maintained developing new customer accounts and portraying the company in a positive manner
• Complete other duties as required


Qualifications:
• Completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• A University of College degree in a related field is considered an asset
• A minimum of 3 years experience working in a sales environment,  preferably with an industrial background
• Experience with customer management software and the ability to perform basic calculations
• Provide a demonstrated knowledge of sales principles and practices
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
• Must have customer relationship experience and a high level of enthusiasm
• The ability to have initiative while being part of a team are imperative
• Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Must demonstrate the ability to multi-task while maintaining sales quotas
• Maintain a professional appearance while interacting with customers and clients
• Must demonstrate strong presentation skills
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Overtime and travel may be required
