Our client, Legros & Motti Classic European Kitchen, is currently seeking a talented Senior Dining Room Manager to join their exciting world-class team in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of dining room operations while maintaining a profitable restaurant outlet, high quality products, and exemplary service levels.  The incumbent will be expected to market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet productivity budget while keeping quality consistently high.

Responsibilities:
• Examine and re-engineer dining room operations, form new policies, and develop and implement new strategies 
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customer. 
• Ability to coach and mentor staff as needed. 
• Supervise employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments 
• Analyze and interpret the needs of guests and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
• Respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment 
• Coordinate and organize meetings and other events
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Post-Secondary education would be considered a strong asset 
• 5+ years of direct work experience in a management capacity preferred 
• Experience in all aspects of guest service and people management 
• Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team 
• Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques
• Ability to supervise employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments 
• Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of guests and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required 
• Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills 
• Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment 
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment. 
• Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques 
• Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and other events 
• High level of proficiency with Aloha (NCR) P.O.S. system considered a strong asset
• High level of proficiency with Office software packages considered a strong asset
